Menu planning

One of the trickiest things about Shabbat and the Jewish holidays is menu planning. Week in, week out we eat a full 3 or 4 course meal, and even the most delicious dishes can become tedious over time. This is compounded at the times of the Jewish holidays where there is a holiday, followed by Shabbat, followed by holiday – with the most demanding being 3 day affairs which are a challenge for even the most culinarily capable.

Here are some tips for planning your menus, and suggested menus for each of the holidays as well as for 2 and 3 day holidays as they approach. Rosh Hashanah 2010 is set to be a 3 day holiday and menus will be posted closer to the time.

Some menus are specifically designated as easy or challenging, others are composed of a mixture of different types of recipes. If you are not inspired by these menus and have a specific question relating to planning your menu feel free to contact me.
